Nature

Imbassaí is the first beach of the Green Line, as it is called the beautiful coastal road that connects Bahia to Sergipe. Distant only 10 kilometers from Praia do Forte, the village is the opposite of the neighbor (both belong to the municipality of Mata de São João) in the quest for tranquility and rusticity. In common, the pleasant beaches surrounded by coconut groves – and, in Imbassaí, still have gigantic dunes and a perfect river for fresh water baths. In the center of the village, among the cashew trees, pousadinhas, restaurants and small shops spread over two blocks. The bars, which usually have music on Saturday nights, also stick around.
Several streams are formed along the six miles of waterfront without vehicular traffic. At full tide, however, to get to the beach that gives its name to the village, it is necessary to use the wooden boards or the small boats that make the crossing – the trip is short but worth it!
Taking advantage of the variety, the simple stalls spread their tables near the sea and also the Barroso river, especially in the right corner of the beach, where the mouth is. To the customer, all you have to do is choose which water to bathe.
